RULES & REGULATIONS- CHRISTMAS COOKIES
Dear friends and fans of sugar art,
We are delighted to invite you to take part in the SPECIAL CHRISTMAS edition of “Cake Art Bulgaria”!
The competition is open to everyone.
There are no restrictions on the size, shape, or number of cookies you may submit.
Remember, we encourage originality, creativity, and a personal approach to the Christmas theme.
We wish all participants the best of luck
PARTICIPATION REQUIREMENTS
- Competition Theme: CHRISTMAS. The design of the cookies must clearly reflect the Christmas theme.
- Type of Cookies: All types of cookies are permitted.
- Size, Shape and Number of Cookies: There are no restrictions regarding the size, shape, or number of cookies. Each participant may decide how many cookies to include in their entry and how to arrange and present them – as a single cookie, a set, or a themed composition.
- Decoration and Materials: All techniques and materials suitable for decorating cookies are permitted. All decorative elements placed on the cookies must be made exclusively from edible materials. The use of non-edible materials in the decoration is not permitted. The only exception is a decorative ribbon around the display board or base on which the cookies are presented.
- Publication of Photographs of your entries on social media before 19 December is prohibited. This may only be done after the judging process has been completed. Any participant found to have violated this rule will be disqualified.
- Number of Entries: Each participant may submit an unlimited number of entries. Each presented composition, regardless of the number of cookies it contains, is considered a separate entry and must be registered individually.
- Age Restriction: Participants must be 15 years of age or older.
- Entry Fee: The entry fee is 15 euros. Participants entering two or more cookie compositions, or participating in both the CHRISTMAS CAKE and CHRISTMAS COOKIES categories, must pay a separate fee for each entry.
- If a participant registers but does not submit photographs of their entry, the entry fee will not be refunded.
EVALUATION
The sugar art entries will be evaluated by an international jury composed of proven professionals—individuals who have won multiple awards in prestigious competitions or have served as judges in such events. Each category will feature specialists in that field. Scoring is conducted through an anonymous system in which judges evaluate entries independently, seeing only the participant’s unique registration number, not their identity.
Point-based evaluation criteria:
- Composition and originality of the idea – maximum 30 points
- Precision of work, level of difficulty, and execution technique – maximum 40 points
- Composition, impact, and overall presentation – maximum 30 points
The final score is the arithmetic mean of the sum of the scores given by the judges in each individual category. Maximum total score – 100 points
Authenticity of Works and Prohibition on the Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI)
- It is a mandatory requirement that the work you submit for the competition be your own.
- The use of artificial intelligence (AI) in the processing of the photograph, the decoration, or the background is STRICTLY PROHIBITED.
- The jury or the organizer reserves the right to request additional photographs or video footage from participants, if necessary, to verify the authenticity of the submitted work.
- Upon request, the participant must provide the required evidence within the timeframe specified by the organizer. Failure to provide such evidence will result in disqualification.
The judges’ decision is final, and the results cannot be contested.
Please do not disturb the judges with questions regarding your participation in Cake Art Bulgaria. If you have any such questions, please send them via email to cakeartbulgaria@gmail.com.
